Gilberto will share his reflections, ideas, and experiences based on his his work as a climate activist, youth advocate, humanitarian fellow, and social justice warrior.

The short presentation will be a starting point for a meaningful conversation and explore how service to humanity and planet can be a source and incubator for greater joy. The following questions will be explored:

  • How can we ground our search for justice in joy?
  • How does joyfulness and social impact work together?
  • What can we do to reduce stress and bring peace into our working cultures?

-Speaker Biography-
Gilberto Morishaw is a speaker, activist, and social change maker focused on creating the conditions that allows others to change and become better. He believes the future we are trying to create requires us to reinvent how we see the world now. He is a Global Shaper at the World Economic Forum, a Fellow at Humanity in Action, a Climate Reality Leader, and an Ambassador for the African Caribbean Pacific Young Professionals Network. Gilberto is involved with multiple initiatives in the Netherlands, Europe and the Caribbean that empower young people, migrants and stimulates creating change. In the past he launched a think tank on food security for the Dutch Caribbean for the Ministry of Agriculture, worked with the Ministry of Education on Equal Opportunities and helped undocumented migrants through the Hague World House. He is currently pursuing an MSC of Public Administration at Leiden University.
