The EU Forced Labour Regulation (FLR) is coming into force, raising key questions for organisations: what does it mean in practice, and how can companies prepare their supply chains effectively?
In this interactive session, experts and business leaders share insights, practical examples, and peer experiences to help you turn regulation into action, with clear takeaways you can apply in your organisation.

📍 Where? Social Impact Factory, Aan de Gracht (Utrecht).
👥 By whom? ▪ Samira Rafaela – Visiting Fellow at Cornell University’s Global Labor Institute and Senior Adviser with CSIS, with extensive experience in EU social and trade policy. As a Member of the European Parliament from 2019 to 2024, she co‑shaped the EU Forced Labour Regulation, served as rapporteur on related corporate due diligence policies, and has focused on human rights, responsible business conduct, and sustainable trade.
▪ Eva van der Pol – Programme Manager Social Sustainability at UN Global Compact NL. Supporting over 380 companies on sustainable and inclusive impact. She has a background in anthropology and sustainable business.
▪ Bojana Husanovic (she/her), JDE Peet’s – Bojana is an experienced human rights and legal expert with 20+ years in International Human Rights Law, Corporate Sustainability, and Compliance. In her role as Due Diligence Manager at JDE Peet’s, she leads global human rights due diligence across JDE Peet’s coffee and tea supply chains.
▪ Fair Wear Foundation The interactive part of this session will be facilitated by the Fair Wear Foundation, a multi-stakeholder initiative that advances workers’ rights across global supply chains. Through a practical case study, participants get the opportunity to exchange perspectives and reflect on real-world challenges.
